Never miss out
Get an email update with every blog post to never miss Kate’s writing.
Welcome to the blog!
Kate DeHaan (she/they) is an aspiring author of queer, fantasy novels. You can find her published personal essays on the post calvin. She also has a co-authored article in English Journal called “Real Writers: Perceptions of Writer Identity“.
Kate grew up writing and editing poems until they were practically illegible. Despite her best efforts to keep writing a hobby while she studied engineering, she realized that her lifelong passion for writing deserved her sole attention even if she does still love calculus and excel spreadsheets. When she isn’t writing, Kate is passionate about consuming queer media, watching big cat documentaries, swimming in bodies of water despite how cold they are, and collecting knick-knacks to fill an already cluttered apartment.
